Live Collaboration
LumoraBoard
Real-time collaborative whiteboard with live cursors, private rooms and invite links.
Details
Several people draw on the same board at once and see each other's strokes and cursors as they happen. Whoever creates a room owns it and decides who gets in, sharing an edit or view-only invite as a link or a short code (like K7QM-2XRA). Every room has its own chat, and boards can be exported as PNG, SVG, PDF or a JSON backup. The backend is Go with WebSockets and the frontend is SvelteKit; boards are stored in Postgres, so they survive a server restart.
Highlights
- Pen, rectangle, ellipse, arrow, text and eraser, with a 24-color palette, a custom color and three stroke widths
- Select, move and resize objects by their corner handles; pan and zoom
- Everyone's cursor live, with names
- Private rooms with owners; edit or view-only invites as a link or a short code
- Per-room chat; a message can point at an object on the board
- Export as PNG, SVG, high-resolution PNG, PDF or a JSON backup; import a backup as a new board
- Boards live in Postgres, and a reconnecting client catches up on what it missed
- Can scale out across several servers
